About the 2S3 Akatsiya 152mm Self-Propelled Gun:

An effective and reliable artillery gun is key to the military success of any nation. Deployed in 1971, the Soviet Union designed the 2S3 Akatsiya 152mm Self-Propelled Gun to match the strength of similar vehicles produced by the United States. Cruising at 39 mph, the Akatsiya’s 520 horsepower diesel engine can carry the massive gun for a road travel range of 186 miles. 

It is no surprise that the Akatsiya is still in use today. The 360-degree turret and efficient loading system provides the crew with flexibility in finding their target quickly. The right side of the turret features a small hatch for disposal of spent shells, allowing the crew of six to fire the gun at a rate of four rounds per minute. Just like the real Akatsiya, this kit has a rear loading hatch, shell storage, and breech for loading the gun.
