About the US Navy 34' Patrol Boat:

The US Navy’s 34’ patrol boats are rugged and adaptable, suitable for inshore, riverine missions or offshore, littoral patrols. Built of aluminum, the boats can take a battering, either in confined waterways or while alongside larger vessels at sea. With a deep V-shaped hull, the boats offer stability offshore in rough waters, but they still draw less than 4-feet, allowing maneuverability in inland shallow waterways. The twin diesel engines give top speeds of 40 knots and a range of 200 nautical miles, and the enclosed cabin provides shelter in heavy weather. With mounts for various weapons and equipment, the patrol boats are well-suited for armed border patrol, anti-terrorism and military operations, personnel transport, and rescue missions.
