Robert the Bruce Minifigure
Designed by United Bricks.
Meet the heroic Robert the Bruce Minifigure! Robert I, better known as Robert the Bruce, was King of Scotland from 1306 until his death in 1329. He played a crucial role in the First War of Scottish Independence against England and is revered in Scotland as a national hero. Despite setbacks, such as his excommunication by Pope Clement V after the murder of John Comyn, Robert succeeded in gaining the Scottish throne and was crowned King of Scots on 25 March 1306. After a defeat at the Battle of Methven, Robert rallied and achieved a glorious victory at Loudoun Hill in 1307. His guerrilla warfare against the English forces was highly successful. With his victory at the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314, he confirmed Scotland's independence and paved the way for further attacks on England and even an invasion of Ireland.
