Product Description

Highly reliable and effective at all ranges, the Model 1857 “Napoleon” was the primary artillery field gun of both the Confederate and Union armies during the American Civil War. Capable of firing several ammunition types, including a 12-pound projectile, effectively to about 2,000 yards, the gun weighed approximately 2 tons (1,626 kg) and required a crew of seven to operate. A well-trained crew could fire up to four rounds per minute, making a battery of M1857 guns a devastating force against infantry or cavalry.

This model comes disassembled and includes complete printed building instructions and comes packaged in a box. This is a limited edition kit and priduction may be discontinued at any time.
